Caythorpe Cricket Club was formed circa 1880 and reformed in 1949. We have 4 senior Saturday sides playing in the Nottinghamshire premier league, the Bassetlaw and district league and the South Nottinghamshire cricket league as well as the Sunday side playing in the Newark club cricket alliance. We have junior teams at U11, 12, 13, and 15 playing in various leagues and cup competitions. The U9, 10 and U11’s also play in the club Kwik cricket competition. The majority of the work at the club is undertaken on a voluntary basis. Equipment and ground maintenance are funded through subscriptions and fund raising events.

If you have any spare time to give, perhaps for administration, fund-raising, coaching, umpiring or scoring please talk to a committee member, they will be happy to assist you.

We encourage families to join the club as social members and to join in in club activities. The clubhouse is available to hire for a wide variety of functions or as a venue for meetings or presentation evenings.

We are proud of our coaching record and some of our former juniors have gone on to play at higher levels. Also our current 1st XI boast a majority of players who joined us as juniors and now play seriously competitive cricket. We are always looking for new players whatever your age or ability. In the past several parents have decided to play again after watching their youngster discover the joys of cricket. In some cases finding themselves playing in the same game!

Alternatively if you just enjoy watching the game there are senior matches at the club every weekend throughout the season. All senior fixtures can be found in the clubs annual handbook available free of charge in the clubhouse.
